"I can see!"
This is the nicest dry bag I have ever used. It’s
made of some sweet fabric probably developed by NASA with Tang and
Velcro, and unlike those old hose rubber things, looks and feels like
any other pack. Until you look inside.
There you’ll see super sealed seams and plenty of
space. I found the
40 L Peak UK Dry Bag to be the perfect size for my -20 sleeping
bag (in a compression sack) and my ultra light thermarest, and there
was still room for a headlamp and some other small items.
The best feature on this bag is a clear viewing
strip that runs from top to bottom, so you can see what’s inside
without having to unroll and dump out. What can I say? Sometimes I
forget stuff…
Additional features include two plastic d rings at
the top and a strap across the bottom. These came in handy when we
took it back packing and decided to use it for a bear bag.
"Damn you Peak UK dry bag! Damn you!"
Pros: lightweight
material, super dry, nice viewing strip, and stops bears in their
tracks
Cons: none…unless
you’re a bear
